I've never taken myself seriously as an artist, though I took the process of making art seriously. The result of this is that most of my work has been destroyed, vanished, or is packed away in boxes, unlikely to see the light of day again. This doesn't bother me a great deal and I find it rather amusing in fact but it is a very interesting exercise to re-imagine my life in terms of the things that I have made and to think about what remains of these things.
